Broiled Lobster Tails
I did a few different things this year to try and improve our traditional Christmas dinner. I added a lemon wedge under the meat and used Old Bay Seasoning instead of paprika. It was the best lobster dinner yet!
4-6 oz lobster tails (thawed)
Old Bay Seasoning
4 tbsp. pasture butter
Additional butter (or ghee) for melting
1 Lemon
Cut the top of the lobster shell down the middle to the tip of the tail. Do not cut the lobster meat.
Use your hands to separate the shell and lift the meat over the top of the shell.
Place a lemon wedge in the shell and under the lobster meat.
Place tails on a baking sheet or glass baking dish.
Sprinkle the lobster meat with Old Bay Seasoning.
Add small pats of butter to the top lobster meat.
Turn oven to broil (high setting if you have an option).
Place lobster on the middle rack (not on very top rack).
Broil lobster until meat is opaque, approximately 10 minutes.
Remove and serve with drawn butter.
Cooking time does not need to be adjusted for the amount of tails but should be adjusted for larger or smaller tails
