Banana Brownies

2 very ripe bananas
2 eggs, room temperature
½ cup nut butter
½ cup cacao powder
¼ tsp baking soda
1 cup dark chocolate chips
Sea salt, to taste
Coconut sugar (optional for extra sweetness)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Line an 8x8 baking pan with parchment paper.
In a small bowl, whisk together cacao and baking soda (add coconut sugar if adding).
In a large bowl mash the bananas.
Add nut butter and eggs to bananas and mix until smooth.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir until combined.
Fold in 2/3 of the dark chocolate chips.
Pour batter into parchment lined pan.
Sprinkle the remaining chocolate chips on top of the batter.
Bake for 12 minutes.
Take dish out of oven and “slam” it onto counter to help settle the batter.
Sprinkle sea salt on top of batter.
Return to oven and bake for 8-9 more minutes.
Cool fully on a wire rack.
Slice once cooled.
